Apple VS Palm Pre
The Apple vs Palm Pre war continues. Palm manufacture now wants to appeal to the USB Implementers Forum to force Apple to allow them to sync with iTunes for their customers. Okay, now this one, I have to say I side with Apple. How can Palm be so arrogant and stupid to believe they have a "right" to sync with iTunes made by Apple? Apple made iTunes, they make their iPods and iPhones compatable with it. Why should Apple allow anyone else to do so? If Palm wants the ability to sync music with their phone, write your own damned program you lazy bastards! Apple made this innovation on their own, Palm has no right to usurp the feature for their own use. Click Here To Read Original Article
Summit on Distracted Driving
Okay, here's the deal. The Obama administration decided to convene a summit to discuss distracted driving, specifically from cell phone usage. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood will announce his decision to gather senior transportation officials, safety advocates, law enforcement representatives, members of Congress and academics who study distracted driving at a news conference Tuesday. The summit will take place next month. Now, basic driving law already states that driving while distracted is illegal. Why do law makers feel the need to waste more time and taxpayer money, to create more laws that basically state the same thing that is already in place. Texting while driving is obviously distracting, so it fall under the same law as driving while distracted. Done deal. I feel lawmakers are just trying to do something to make it look like they have something to do. But in my honest and humble opinion, this is superfluous. Just ticket the people that are found doing it, and be done with it. Click Here To Read Original Article

Trademark filing indicates Radio Shack to rebrand as 'The Shack'
Well, looks like we are loosing the name Radio Shack. Although it is not known for sure yet, according to recent Trademark filings, it seems that they are going to try a rebranding of their name. Circuit City tried to do something something similar in their last days around, changing their final stores open to "The City", which obviously didn't work. Although the name change won't affect their business per-say, there are rumors that "The Shack" will emphasize more on mobile technology. It just a shame I suppose to see the name disappear after growing up with it. Only time will tell what happens.

Apple & AT&T Called To The Principals Office
Well, yesterday the FCC sent Apple, AT&T and Google an official letter requesting a reason why Apple pulled Google's Voice app off their store. Apparently enough people complained about it that it made the FCC notice. Now they have to explain in detail not only the reason for Google's Voice app removal, but their entire process behind authorizing any app for their store. Apple & AT&T both must be cursing up a storm while Google is probably sitting back snickering in the corner. Click Here To Read Original Article |
